1900 Edwardian to 1919
Romantic gowns from the turn of the century ... for your décor, collection or display! Dresses in this area date to between 1900 (turn-of-the-century late Victorian) and 1920 and include Edwardian and Belle Epoque (in french, "beautiful time") styles such as the well-known Gibson Girl style. The soft, romantic styles with lavish lace are so very feminine and delightful! Here also are those styles worn on the Titanic and Armistice styles so popular during the Great War, World War I (WWI).
These dresses are true antiques and should be handled with great care and respect. While many may be strong enough to be worn, we do not recommend doing so.
They make superb additions to your home's Victorian decoration when displayed out of direct sunlight.
