Most of us know the name Whiting & Davis from the superb mesh purses they manufactured in the early 20th century.  In 1926 the company began producing fine quality costume jewelry.

Some designs were reproductions of antique jewelry, but many were original.  The company was the first to use transfer designs on porcelain.  Reverse glass intaglio cameos are often seen as well as filigree designs in metal.  And of course, the classic W & D mesh. 

Highly collectible today, every vintage jewelry collector probably would love to own a special Whiting & Davis piece.  The designs are beautiful as well as timeless and made with quality materials and construction.

Whiting & Davis discontinued their non-mesh jewelry line in 1980 but continued to produce other jewelry until 1991.
