A super 1950s party dress with princess seams and a full skirt, great for any special occasion cocktail party, reception, prom
This vintage dress is made from solid color steel blue fabric. It has a heavily ruched bustline that crosses over in the front and dips to a low cut in the back. The shoulders would probably sit a little farther out to the point of the shoulder, but
my dress form doesnt have arms!
The bodice is lined and boned and the hemline of the skirt is reinforced with synthetic horsehair to give it body. The closure is at center back with a blue metal zipper and an interior hook and eye. The label reads, Jobere New York.
The condition is very good. It has been dry cleaned and is ready to wear! There is a very, very faint spot on the left shoulder (maybe from a corsage), a slight brownish area near the bottom of the zipper, and a small brown spot near the hem on the left center front (see photos). The shoulders are a little faded - mostly the right side - but it is hard to see and there is some minimal vertical fading to the back of the skirt (not on the bodice) where it falls naturally into folds. In both cases, it looks like the way the light would be reflected in the sheen of the fabric. I note this in the interest of full disclosure, but in all honesty it is very hard to tell.
The dress is shown over a crinoline slip which is NOT included but may be available separately. The jewelry shown in the photo is also NOT included and may be available separately.
