In a nice, larger size, this lovely cream and gray, with tan accent, houndstooth pattern vintage 50s/60s 2-piece ladies wool suit with a Madison label, is the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe! 

The double-breasted jacket is fully lined and has 6 gray plastic buttons on the front.  There is also a snap to hold the interior flap in place.  The skirt has a metal side zip closure with a button at the waist.  The skirt is demi-lined in the back only.  Label reads “Madison”.

My dress forms are all smaller than this dress, so in the photos of the suit on the white form, the dress is pinned.   The jacket is shown on a larger form, which is a bit TOO large but shows the jacket fit more correctly.  Unfortunately, the skirt did not fit the larger dress form at all.

The condition is very good.  The only flaw to note is that the lining at the right underarm shows a repair and the lining is slightly faded at the left underarm; both of course, unseen when worn.  Very wearable as is, but I would recommend dry cleaning.
