This splendid beaded and rhinestone studded vintage 1960s cocktail dress with matching jacket is in near mint condition! 

The peach colored fabric looks like it MIGHT be a slubby silk, though there is no content label and we’ve not done a fiber test.  Both the dress and jacket are fully lined with a synthetic material.  Label reads “A Jefri Fashion”.  The dress has a back nylon zipper and hook and eye at the neckline.

The bodice fabric is cut away and filled with a sheer fabric, upon which are appliquéd  4-petal flowers made of the dress fabric.  The edges of this design are beaded with silver lined glass bugle beads and each appliqué flower is edged with the same bugle beads.  The flower centers are also silver centered glass beads.  The sheer fabric is decorated with scattered prong-set rhinestones.  Simply elegant!

The only flaw we could find is a little fraying of the dress fabric near the left arm at the edge of the appliqué and in the same area, the silvering inside some of the bugles has disappeared.  Hardly worth mentioning, but we make sure to point out everything we find.   It’s ready to wear and we’ve even had it dry cleaned for you!
