This exceptional 2-piece vintage tailored gabardine suit with padded shoulders is straight out of the 1940s! I believe the fabric is camel.
Classically and well tailored, the jacket is lined, with padded shoulders, has a wide collar, bound buttonholes, and rimmed fabric covered buttons. The skirt fastens with hook and eye and a metal side zipper.
There is no evidence of a label.
Light underarm staining on lining ONLY does not show through to outer fabric. There is a light area near the center back of the collar, about the size of my fingertip that I had difficulty in capturing in the photos. Waist could possibly be made slightly larger as there is about 3 Ύ of excess waistband.
