Italian mosaic and micro mosaic jewelry is so very interesting, with all the intricacy of the tiny glass tesserae (tiles) set into beautiful designs!

This is a more unusually shaped pin, or brooch.  It is a diamond shape and set with the tiny tesserae in a floral design.  Looking carefully, under magnification, you will even notice that some of the pieces are millefiore.  This pin probably dates to post-1914.

Measures 1 3/8” wide and 7/8” high.  Marked on the back “Made in Italy”.  C-clasp.
