This great vintage formal gown probably dates to the 1980s. The very form-fitting dress features slimming blue and green vertical stripes, spaghetti straps, and a V neckline with a padded bust. The torso and bust areas are boned for support. The back closes with a nylon zipper with a top hook and eye, and there is an 18 ½” slit at the center back hem.
There is a darling matching short jacket with wonderfully puffed sleeves that are padded, Eighties style, that really keep them puffy!
Both the dress and the jacket are lined.
The dress is extra small (XS). I was unable to completely zip the back of the dress on my size 6 mannequin with a 34” bust.
CONDITION: Excellent to near mint. The spaghetti straps look to have been shortened and have some hand stitches that could be let out, if needed.
