Return Policy

If any item is received, damaged during shipping please contact us immediately and SAVE the packaging.  We will not be able to file a claim and issue a refund if the packaging is not saved and returned with the damaged item.  You MUST contact us IMMEDIATELY if you receive an item damaged during shipping.  We will not be able to refund on an item damaged in transit if you do not follow these instructions.

Jewelry:
 
We make every effort to describe each jewelry item as completely and accurately as possible.  If you have any questions at all about a particular item, please contact us before purchasing.

If you are not satisfied with your jewelry purchase, you MUST contact us within 48 hours of receipt (as determined by Delivery Confirmation).    You may contact us by phone or email.  We may charge a 25% restocking fee.  IF YOU RETURN AN ITEM WITHOUT FIRST NOFIFYING US, THERE WILL BE NO REFUND.

We must receive the returned item within 7 days of your receipt (as determined by Delivery Confirmation) or there will be no refund.

We must receive the returned item in exactly the same condition as it was when we shipped it.  We will not refund for the return of a damaged item or an item that has been tampered with.  We carefully document the condition of each item when it is shipped.

You are responsible for return shipping and insurance costs.  If you return an item without insurance, any loss or damage during shipping is your responsibility.  We will not refund for items lost or damaged during return shipment.

Your refund will be sent in the same manner in which you paid (i.e. if you paid with a check, we will mail you a check) within 2 business days of receipt of returned item, minus any restocking fees and shipping, if applicable.

Antique and Vintage Clothing:
 
Each item of vintage (wearable) clothing and many wearable accessories are shipped with a bright green stock tag attached.  DO NOT remove this tag until you are certain you will be keeping the item.  If the tag has been removed, we will NOT accept a return and there will be NO REFUND.  The item must be returned in the same condition as we shipped it.  The condition of each item is carefully documented when it is shipped.

For antique clothing: 

            We sell all items “As Is”.  We do our very best to find and note all flaws and condition issues.  Sometimes we can miss minor issues, especially in clothing with many folds, ruffles, lace, etc.  If you have concerns about the condition of an item you intend to purchase, please email us (or call) and we will be more than happy to address any concerns. 

These pieces are 80+ years old and cannot be considered flawless or sturdy enough for wear, in most cases.  We will only accept a return for a clothing item that dates from approximately 1930 through 1780 if we have mistakenly mis-dated the item.  If this is the case, simply contact us for a return authorization and your purchase price along with shipping costs will be happily refunded when you follow our return policy.

For vintage (wearable) clothing:

We do not accept returns because they do not fit, is the wrong color, or for “buyer’s remorse”.  We make every effort to measure accurately and you are encouraged to call or email BEFORE your purchase with any questions.  I stand behind my descriptions and condition an item is in.  If I have inadvertently missed something (I’m a mere mortal, after all!) contact me within 48 hours of receiving your item and we will make every effort to make things right. 

Returns for clothing items will be accepted ONLY under the following conditions:
 
 
      IN ALL CASES – You MUST contact us within 48 hours (as determined by Delivery Confirmation) of receiving the item to inform us of the return and the reason for the return. 
 
      If you have contacted us within 48 hours of receipt of the item, it MUST be shipped back to us within 3 days of the notification of return.  You may be required to pay a 25% restocking fee and shipping costs.  ITEMS MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE SAME CONDITION AS WE SHIPPED THEM with identifying tags intact or there will be no refund.  The condition of all items is carefully documented when packed for shipping.

       We will email you when we receive the returned item (make certain you provide a valid email address – we cannot be held responsible for lack of communication if we do not have a working email and/or mailing address for you).  Your refund will be issued in the same manner payment was made.  If you paid by check, we will mail a refund check to you within 2 business days of our receipt of the returned item.  If the item was paid for by credit card, you will receive a credit on same.  We will email you when your refund is sent.

IF YOU RETURN AN ITEM WITHOUT NOTIFYING US FIRST, THERE WILL BE NO REFUND.  

       If you return an item after 3 days have passed since you received the item, even though you contacted within 48 hours of receipt, there will be NO refund.

      There are no refunds on items shipped “express” or “overnight”.

      We are sorry to have to implement these strict policies, but have had recent experiences with people who don’t “play fair”.  We are not a big chain store, just the “little guy” trying to run an honest business.
