Return Policy

Please read the return information for your specific item type: (Antique Clothing, Vintage Clothing, or Jewelry).

You MUST contact us within 48 hours (as determined by Delivery Confirmation) of receiving the item to inform us of the return and the reason for the return. Do NOT return an item until you receive an email from us with authorization and instructions. The return shipping method is at our discretion.

After you have contacted us, we must receive the returned item within 7 days of the date YOU received it (as determined by Delivery Confirmation) or there will be no refund, even if you contacted us within the required 48 hours.  We may issue a store credit, not including shipping costs either way.

If you return an item without contacting us for return authorization, we will only issue a store credit.  No exceptions.

You are responsible for return shipping and insurance costs.  Shipping fees are not refundable unless we have made an error in our description.  We do not refund customs fees/taxes and International packages that are refused at the point of delivery will not be refunded.  If you return an item without insurance, any loss or damage during return shipping is your responsibility. We will not refund for items lost or damaged during return shipment. If you purchased insurance for your return, you will be able file a claim with the carrier.

We will email you when we receive the returned item (make certain you provide a valid email address – we cannot be held responsible for lack of communication if we do not have a working email and/or mailing address for you). Your refund will be issued in the same manner payment was made. (If you paid by credit card, your refund will be to your credit card. If you paid with Paypal, your refund will be through Paypal.)

There are no returns/refunds on items shipped express/overnight/next day.

There are no returns/refunds on items returned with our identifying tags removed.

There are no returns/refunds on items sold “AS IS” or “SALE” merchandise; these items are clearly marked as such.

There are no returns / refunds on items in the Antique Clothing category, due to their fragility.  (See Antique Clothing section below.)

We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason without notice.

We do not make partial refunds.

We may charge a 25% restocking fee or we may issue a store credit rather than a refund.

Once you have received and worn a vintage item, any upkeep or repair is your responsibility.  The materials used in the construction of antique and vintage clothing and jewelry do have age and there is no way to pre-determine how long fabric, thread, heel taps, buttons, plating, etc. will last.  We would never knowingly offer any item for sale that, based on our experience, is on the brink of falling apart.


We make every effort to describe each jewelry item as completely and accurately as possible and provide clear photographs. If you have any questions at all about a particular item, please contact us BEFORE purchasing.

We must receive the returned item in exactly the same condition as it was when we shipped it, with all pieces included, AND packed and shipped in the same careful manner that we sent it to you.  We cannot refund if any of our tags or shop markings are removed.  We will not refund for the return of an item damaged once it is in your possession or an item that has been tampered with.  We carefully document the item and its condition of each item when it is shipped.

Vintage Clothing (items sold in this category and/or in its subcategories):

Each item of vintage (wearable) clothing and many wearable accessories are shipped with a bright green stock tag attached. DO NOT remove this tag until you are certain you will be keeping the item. If the tag has been removed, we will NOT accept a return and there will be NO REFUND.

The item must be returned in the same condition as we shipped it – unworn, undamaged and with our stock tag in place AND packaged in the same careful manner that we sent it to you.

Belts and any accessories included in the item description must be included or there will be NO REFUND. The condition of each item is carefully documented when it is shipped.

We do not accept returns because an item does not fit, is the wrong color, or for “buyer’s remorse”. We make every effort to measure accurately and you are encouraged to email us BEFORE your purchase with any questions. I stand behind my descriptions. If I have inadvertently missed something (I’m a mere mortal, after all!) contact me within 48 hours of receiving your item and we will make every effort to make things right.

For obvious reasons, antique clothing will not have a tag attached. Please read the paragraph on antique clothing returns, below.

Antique Clothing (items sold in this category and/or in its subcategories) :

We sell all antique clothing items “As Is” and do not accept returns due to their fragile nature.  Antique fabrics and trims are easily damaged and the more they are handed, the more likely there will be damage.  We package each antique garment with the utmost care and as much protection as humanly possible.  If you are not sure whether the item you wish to purchase is considered “antique” and therefore cannot be returned, just contact us and we’ll be happy to help. All items in the Antique Clothing category are to be considered antique.

We do our very best to find and note all flaws and condition issues. Sometimes we can miss minor issues, especially in clothing with many folds, ruffles, lace, etc. If you have concerns about the condition of an item you intend to purchase, please email us and we will be more than happy to address any concerns.

If your purchase is meant for display, measure your dress form carefully and add at least an inch to make sure there is a bit of “ease” for the safety of the garment.  Measurements are clearly stated and if a dress does not fit your dress form, this is not an acceptable reason for return.


We are sorry to have to implement these strict policies, but have had too many experiences with people who don’t “play fair”. We are not a big chain store, just the “little guy” trying to run an honest business. We always try to remember the old adage that “you catch more flies with honey”. If you are not happy, just send a nice email explaining things and we will return a nice email that will hopefully solve your problem.
