1950s Shirt Dress Shirt Dress Belted Medium

This super nice vintage shirt dress, dating to the late 1940s or early 1950s, features cuffed short sleeves, a pleat at the front of each shoulder, a self-fabric collar, V-neck, and matching fabric belt. It has a full center front closure with 14 buttons and a hook and eye at the waist. The fabric is a dark tan ground with dark brick red, gold, dark turquoise and chocolate brown medallions. Throughout the fabric design are black “crinkles” printed onto the fabric.

The fabric feels like cotton or a cotton blend. There is no label other than the ILGWU label (see photo).

In excellent condition – I’m not sure it’s even been worn because the belt shows very little wear at the adjustment area.

Label: ILGWU with AFL-CIO (pre-1955)
